More backblogging.. 5/20/06

This sunday was bloody amazing. Usman, Zafar and I head out from Paramus, up to the NY state border. Of course you can go here for usman's commentary and details about the trip. This trip wasnt nearly as long.. only 18-20 miles, but i felt it was much more intense. Our route to NY border was lined with MANY MANY hills. During the NYC city trip i found i was able to cruise a whole lot. This was absolutely not the case with this trip. Cuz when you were going down a hill, you had to make sure you attained enuf speed to ascend the next incline or you were screwed.
Oh.. and Mongoose bikes strike again.. Zafar had to drop out after 20 minutes cuz his bike failed on him a lot.. (y probablemente el no podia hacerlo? no se?)
the good part about that was.. when it was just me and Usman, we could keep a pretty decent pace without stopping every 10 min. Usman was beating me out pretty much the whole ride.. but i attribute that to the vast difference in the costs and lifespans of our respective bikes.

It was a much shorter ride.. we started at 6am and ended by 8:15, including our small victory lap around Petruska park. (our trip around NYc lasted till 11:30)
Afterwards.. around 2pm we played frisbee. So the day was just brillianT!
