Dark Disciple Part One

well with my crazy free time and no money.. i've been hanging out at B&N all day for the last two weeks.. Most of this was re-learning medicine and stuff about mortgages and finances.. (soon i will have money... i should learn about what to do with it)
But i finally made it to the sci-fi island and found NEW DRAGONLANCE BOOKS!!
Two that follow the main storyline under The Dark Disciple series.
I've been following dragonlance since i was a teen.. and the writers are phenomenal. Maraget Weis and Tracy Hickman write all the major books... and stupid people write all the extra stories. Just as a brief intro.. all the books are sets of three, and they follow this order:
The Chronicles
Legends
-the only single book - Dragons of an Autumn Twilight
The War of Souls
AND NOW....
The Dark Disciple (I and II are done)

I read part One yesterday.. and hopefully will be able to read part 2 this weekend..

Why are dragonlance books good? They do a great job of mixing good and evil.. a lot of the characters are very multidimensional,most of the good characters are often drawn to the darkness like a moth to a flame.. either in a vain attempt to purify it or to conquer it in themselves or fate just screws them. Dark Disciple does a good job with this too.. so i thought it was an excellent read.


And yes.. dragonlance is not exactly islamic reading.. its polytheistic, but no worse than reading greek mythology.
