FINAL DAY!
February 22nd.. infamous in the world of fourth year medical students.. a day no one will ever forget.. THE DAY UR MATCH LIST IS DUE!
thats rite.. tonite at 9pm.. its all over. No more huddling in a dark room working out spreadsheets to figure out ur favorite program, no more finding devious ways to get ur favorite program to acknowledge ur existence. Nothing else can be done. MUHAHAHAH!!
Now its time for the big bad computer to do its job.. and March 16th my life and many others will turn on a dime. Pray for me people.. pray hard.. pray long.. Getting my 3rd choice would be a little more than scary.. so pray i dont get it.
All the fear and anxiety of matching, boils down to last couple of hours.. make a decision if u havent.. and DONT FORGET TO CERTIFY or else u wont be in the match at ALL!
If ur wondering what i've been doing in Costa Rica, i can fill u in. I went to Tortugero last weekend, a rainforest like area. It was fun, we kayaked and did some other stuff. This was part of our class, so we also learned about tropical diseases (i.e. Chagas, Leishmanisis, Malaria..), some of which are endemic to that area. No pictures, cuz i got a huge stye over my left eye and i refuse to remember it. At first i thought i had chagas and got very paranoid...
