It begins...
Ok.. so today is my first day at work as an intern in Providence!
so this deserves posting.. (and the fact that i now have access to the hospital computers) My condo still doesnt have cable or internet and seems like it wont happen until at least july 15th!!!
Work situation: Im on nephrology elective at RIH for the first month, and then i will have ICU at the Miriam hospital. Nephrology is awesome!! Just saw all the patients on the list and we got some Multiple myeloma, HIV and other interesting things causing kideny dysfunction. ATN (acute tubular necrosis) is rampant and of course takes up about 60% of our list.
But sweet part is that weekends are free during elective giving me time to set up the craziness that is my condo/explore RI a little bit. RI is not bad overall.. a lot of fun hot spots. The mall is a big one.. its kinda in the center of downtown. (its the only giant mall in providence.. and the other closest ones are in warwick which is about 15 min away)
Condo-> a lot is got done.. a lot is getting done...
i pulled out one of the electrical swithc.. to replace it with standard 120 V sockets.. which would've worked fine... if they werent horizontal beams running across next to the switch. so now i have to go sand those beams down to fit in the new plastic boxes!
umm... i have furniture which is just bloody amazing! my sofa and loveseat are microfiber and double reclining.. which means u can recline to almost a full lying down position. My centertable actually extends up which is really nice when ur eating snacks. I got a tv stand for my ancient 1970's tv.. which will be updated once i save some cash.
